About
We are the Junior League of Eugene
Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Eugene/Springfield communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of Eugene/Springfield.
Strength in Numbers
In 1962, JLE became a chapter of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), a global nonprofit organization whose worldwide mission is to develop women as catalysts for lasting community change. For more than 60 years, the talented women in our League have identified and addressed needs and challenges in Lane County. Our fundraising and volunteer efforts have benefitted countless community partners, including Maude Kerns Art Center, Parenting Now, A Caring Place, Hope & Safety Alliance, and Hosea Youth Services. Notably, JLE spearheaded the creation of the Relief Nursery in 1976, an organization that’s grown from a small respite program to a comprehensive child abuse prevention program.

Our Local Impact
Right now, our primary focus of human trafficking awareness/prevention and supporting at-risk youth requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. In the next two years, we plan to improve the community by enhancing our community partnerships, improving member awareness and involvement, increasing community awareness, and advocating for improved policies for these matters. If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.
Help Us Lead Change
There is always more work to be done, more help needed, and more opportunities to make an impact in Eugene/Springfield. The empowered women of Junior League of Eugene are working to improve our local communities through leadership and effective action. Will you join us?
